If you've ever wished you could watch a chef at work and pick up a few pointers on how to make meals that look and taste as fabulous as what you get at a great restaurant, then you'll want to reserve a spot for our fall Chef Series program. Chefs from Mason Street Grill and The Pfister Hotel will share some of their favorite recipes and tips for presenting them with style and elegance. Besides expanding your culinary repertoire, you'll also get to dine on their creations. Because you've got to know how these recipes should taste too!

Each 1.5 hour presentation is held at the Mason Street Grill Chef’s Counter, adjacent to The Pfister Hotel.

Learn the art of turning standard dishes you make at home every day into culinary masterpieces. Chef Frakes will first plate each dish in a traditional manner, then plate the second one using some simple chef tricks showing guests how to transform those same ingredients into a work of art.

Chef Jennifer Carlson will be preparing her unique take on a selection of festive holiday desserts. Featured items include bourbon pecan pie, pumpkin pie, pumpkin swirl cheesecake with a ginger crust, and eggnog crème brulee.

November 23, 2013 — The Savory Side of Chocolate

Chocolate has been used in cooking for thousands of years, and Chef Abbott will be presenting some dishes that highlight its unique culinary side. You'll explore traditional uses, such as a Dark Chocolate Mole, as well as more contemporary recipes, like White Chocolate and Chicken Chile.
